September Meeting

Saturday, September 16th, 2017, 12:00pm
North Hampton, NH

Meeting will be at Glenn and Jason's in North Hampton, NH.  The NHGRS meeting will start at 12:00pm, followed by an Open House until 4:00pm.

Ever wonder what happens when smaller scale modelers get bitten by the "G Scale Bug?"

Please stop by for an Open House and Inspection Tour which will showcase our progress on the North Hampton & Great Bay Railroad Company’s Union Street Locomotive Facility and Stratham Yard. The Locomotive Servicing Facility consists of sixteen  structures (most are scratch-built) including a 4-stall roundhouse, and a 34" turntable. The Stratham Yard is a 16' long, 4-track yard just to the north of the locomotive facility.

The North Hampton & Great Bay Railroad is a historically accurate (but) fictitious seven mile, depression-era railroad. At its east end, it meets up with the Eastern Railroad at its North Hampton Station to exchange freight and pick up passengers. It then travels through North Hampton and Stratham, passing an assortment of historically accurate and "potentially historic" buildings and businesses as it winds its way northwest to terminate at Great Bay.

The North Hampton & Great Bay Railroad will be comprised of 280' of main line, and the 80' Winnicut Branch; The branch serves two grist mills.
The middle portion of the mainline and the Winnicut Branch are under construction, with the remainder depicted in mock-up structures and PVC pipe to delineate the route of the main line.
